Sounds more like Matthew Sweet and Bart Simpson to me...What does he need her for anyway, unless..."Be my Yoko Ono"...After all, in Pop Music, looks count more than Talent...

Anyone want to post in this one about Neil, and avoid all the political talk? I discovered this place and was hoping for some fun discussion, and then the new album news caused such a big stir... Who's up for some quiet mellow talk here?

I like "quiet mellow" Neil. But, I prefer LOUDER THAN @#%%&*^$ Neil!!!
Seriously, though, you have to be careful saying "avoid all the political talk". It'll end up attracting the trolls (sick world we live in).
PS - I like the cover version of "Cinnamon Girl" posted here. IMHO, Susanna Hoffs doesn't sound as bad as "anonymous" indicates. Unfortunately, it's bedtime for me...36, but I feel like I'm 86 right now!!! - At 4/23/2006 01:04:00 AM, Linda said...

Well... I've liked Neil for years, but never expanded my collection beyond a few albums. I'll be buying more lately. Can you suggest anything? I've got Harvest, Harvest Moon, Prairie Wind and Mirrorball.
Name me some good ones? - At 4/23/2006 11:01:00 AM, said...

A think Matthew Sweet is very underrated.Mr Richard Lloyd (Television) played lead guitar with Sweet for awhile.I wonder if that's Lloyd on Lead guitar ?.
Anyway,it's a great version.
Keep it mellow,man ! - At 4/24/2006 08:25:00 AM, said...

trying to keep this discussion mellow...I just don't like girls who sing with clothespins on their noses, except for Cyndi Lauper...
I think the Bangles should be remembered for GOING DOWN TO LIVERPOOL and HAZY SHADE OF WINTER,but instead they're knowN for...EGYPTIAN and ETERNAL FLAME
Anyway,Linda,if you wanna rock some more, get LIVE RUST or WELD or ZUMA or, well, maybe you should start with DECADE...If you're feeling adventurous, get TRANS or even EVERYBODY'S ROCKIIN'...So many "Neils", so little time...

Hello Linda,
You must have gone to the Jones beach CSN&Young already, and I am going to the in Saratoga Springs in mid Aug.Oh this is Cinamongrl, I am so looking foward to it!! I have kept up to date and I have recently purchased Living With War and what a powerful Album. I know there is so much controversy, and I almost could not get it. Lots of record store would not carry it. But I got it and I have to say he never fails sending message and now this is a very Strong message about War and dividing our contry. I know they are so much older and always had frictions between the group members. I guess men, and their ego's. Neil is the only one that always been cool and calm, well not when he was younger. He had had frictions with Audiance when he booked alot of concert. I hope he will be his happy old self. well till later. signing off.
Try to remember peace,

This is Tia aka Cinamongrl. if you ever want to contact me you can write to at Tokyobabe12@aol.com and also when I got back I noticed someone wrote something about me. I guess some people just have to poke at other at their expense. I think I know who but if it happens I will get to the bottom of it. She knows I am a Neil Young fan. And I really hope she gets some peace of mind.

Hi Everyone!! I went to see CSN&Young and it was one concert I will never forget!! Just the fact that thousands came to support Neil Young view on War and Freedom of Speech!! He played at least 6 Songs including "Impeach the President", "Flags of Freedom" "Living With War" complete with a full screen Video of Mr. Bush himself during the "Impeach the President" song. And of course of all the men that died fighting these sensless war. Also CSN&Y did "America's Children" "come to Chicago" "Teach your Children" and of course a few of Neil's classic. And it finished off with "Rockin' in a Free world." It was a powerful concert and people on blankets that stayed even thru the rain. I really need another dose and we are looking to go to his last one in Birmingham PA I think. I went to the one in Saratogo Springs NY. Neil looked so much healthier, thinner and alot of energy as well as Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Ciao and "Try to remember Peace" (N.Young). Tia aka Cinamongrl

Hi everyone!! Yes I did go to the Concert and it was one I wont forget for a long time coming. For those who turned there back on Neil Young for his Political Views still Thousands was there to support him and it just blew me away. I mean he did about 6 songs from "Living with War" including "Impeach the President" and "Flags of Freedom" and of course the Title song. They also did their old ones such as "America's Children" and "Come to Chicago" to name a few. Neil Young would not leave without doing some of his classic. Then ended with "Rockin' in a Freeworld". Just Amazing. We went to the Saratogo Springs and people were on their blankets even thru the drizzle. And it did not pour till the end of the concert. How is that for God watching us!! Also Neil Young looked thinner and healthier, as well as Crosby, Stills and Nash. They were all great!! I need another dose and we might catch him in Birmingham PA in mid Sept his last show. I found tickets still available. But even if we don't get good seats I hope it is outdoors for we can Jam and dance and sing!! I gave it thousands thumbs up!! Peace, Tia
