I'm glad he's not wearing a hat. He's got enough to make it work- with a hat you just think he's totally bald. Especially considering some of his goofier chapeaus, like the Dr. Seuss/Frodo number he was sporting last year, sheese!

I'll see him in Boston and Wallingford when it's colder, hope he doesn't go and get all covered up.

Off topic, but I hate ticketmaster with such a raging passion that I need to vent.

Originally they told me that the free cd offer was not available in Canada, despite it clearly being offered on the Canadian website. Which is bullshit. But whatever.

Guess what happened yesterday? After I already bought the album out of my own pocket? They send me the code to get my free cd. Thanks alot, guys.

The stupidity of these companies is really astounding.

Is there a place to get the originals of these pics, that aren't resized in paint?

Thanks for the upload. Although I am a huge Neil Young fan, I've heard some of the other shows. It just seems like his new stuff isn't very deep and with some of his older stuff he either can't keep up with his own words or he just isn't as into it as he once was. I am not cutting on him. The amount of joy I've gotten from listening to his music is huge. It's like that favorite car or shirt, you know one of these days it just isn't going to work anymore. On Prairie Wind we had "It's a Dream". Greendale had "Bandit". Are You Passionate? had it's title track. Ordinary people would be the song for this album if he didn't struggle to keep up with his own lyrics and he took out that silly piano that came from any 80's soundtrack. Just an opinion. Don't hang me.

Just got through listening to the Portland concert and I must say, I was very favorably impressed - especially with the live version of No Hidden Path. This song takes on a much bigger feel live and I think it is THE song from this album - and a really good one. It may be that the studio version just wasn't "ripe" yet. The guitar work moves into trances remeniscent of other work (Love and only Love?). I also thought EKTIK and Winterlong came off great. Ambulance Blues was great, too. The live version of Dirty Old Man is another example of how a song has greater life out of the studio.

I don't know, my impression from the Portland download is that Neil is giving great value and is still really solid. CDII is growing on me each time I listen.

Looking forward to seeing Neil perform again! I love Chrome Dreams, actually everything he does and noticed Neil is rotating some songs in the set-list. I will be at both Chicago shows and would love to hear River of Pride and Pocahontas performed. Keep up the great work Neil and it is truly an honor to be able to listen to your music every day!

People saying the music isn't as good or he isn't keeping up with his past stuff are nuts. Period. Or you just have unrealistic expectations. And that's besides the fact the dude is over sixty. Gimme a break.

Well, I've been following Neil pretty closely since Gold Rush and CDII is definitely a Top 10 record and the best he's put down in a decade or so.

I've seen early tours, Trans, CSNY over the years, Greendale, etc., and I've never looked forward to a show as much as this one.

NYC baby! We're ready...

I couldn't have said it better myself... Give the guy a break because he is over 60 yrs old!! You have to hand him alot of credit for even still performing and in my opinion... Doing a GREAT Job!!! If "you" don't like it then go see someone else...all the more room for us!! Tee Hee

Just read a posting on 10/26 that I think is right on point. The author compared the live version of No Hidden Path with Love and Only Love (Weld). As a guitarist, the two speak to me very similarly. As a HUGE Neil fan, this song gets bigger and bigger each time I listen -- just epic. Saw him in Portland, going again in Boton 12/2, cannot wait! How this guy continues to be fresh, vital and totally relevant is just extraordinary.
