Another memorable night of great passion and intensity. As others have stated about this tour..it is very different to last year. For what it's worth (no pun intended), I think Neil playing 'A Day in the Life' has opened up a new interpretation of his own music and given him and his music a totally new 'lease of life'.
The whole show was fantastic, every second a highlight - when tears come I know its good!
Hey hey and Powderfinger I felt, had become a little jaded but not last night, new energy, new feeling, new passion! Cortez another spiritual experience and RFW from another world -awesome!
Tho only sour note: I have seen Neil eight times since last December in NY in UK and US. Every concert is marred by the ignorance of some of the audience constantly leaving and returning to seats in the middle of songs (to get beer!?) standing were they shouldn't - blocking the view etc. The stewards are generally crap and fail to do there jobs. When I pay vast amounts it is to see Neil + band play NOT to have to interact with some borish tosser with no manners!
Lets Roll (another number) !
The seagulls are getting marginally closer (never to be caught.)

Neil Young rocked Reno last night. The intensity and tightness of the band perfectly complemented the timeless rock Neil laid on us. A huge set list, many ups and downs, with Neil never taking a break, but giving his mates several with solo accoustic favorites. How can he sustain such an energy level ? We had no troubles with the fellows around us and the staff and venue were excellant. Show was a sellout with people begging for tickets outside the door. Hope they got in.

As good as I've ever seen him. (15 or 16 times now)
"A Day In the Life" was surreal and he couldn't have done another encore because there nothing left to be said. I walked out of Reno events center stunned. At the end, a shredded Blackie sat in her stand and Neil looked out to the crowd, nodded his head and sort of threw his hands out as if to say, " there, whad'd ya think a that?" then walked off the stage into the proverbial sunset

The songs were old favorites, some new. But Neil always seems to give them a bit of a twist. Cortez the killer was remarkable, and Neil made sure we understood that Cortez was indeed a "Killer". Neil seemed happy, relaxed, up and passionate. And his show rocked the house. He sustained the energy level by keeping the songs coming, one right after another.
I sat next to a guy who mirrored my exact sentiments as we jumped up and hooted and hollered. At one point he sat forward, and just simply said, "Oh Neil". As if he couldn't believe the energy and passion we were witnessing. Yeah, it was an, Oh Neil, concert. Thanks for rocking us Neil!

Neil's music was indeed a splendid mix. When the song Hey, Hey, My My or was it My My, Hey Hey played, I just stood and sang along with the song. Very strong playing by Neil. Neil's back up band fit perfectly with each song. Peggie's voice is always a delight as backup singer. I agree that Neil is very comfortable out there and it shows in his music. I was at the Bridge School Concert the previous week and saw him perform 'A Day In The Life' with the acoustic guitar and now with the electric guitar. Both are awesome.
